Indigenous Advanced Education and Skills Council Monitoring COVID-19 Pandemic

Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, April 21, 2020 – The Indigenous Advanced Education and Skills Council (the Council) is monitoring the evolving situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Council staff operate in several locations in Ontario and often travel across Ontario’s postsecondary locations. In light of the current situation, we have taken the necessary steps to help ensure the safety of our staff, Indigenous Institutes pillar, and the communities we live and work in.

We will continue to work directly with our partners in the Indigenous Institutes pillar and act based the most up-to-date available information provided by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, and public health authorities to do our part to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the health and safety of our staff and communities.”
