About the Award
This award is intended to recognize and acknowledge Indigenous students who have overcome adversity and demonstrated resiliency towards the completion of their respective studies. On an annual basis, and at the end of the academic year, each Indigenous Institute will award one student with the Resiliency and Achievement in Indigenous Education Award.
Eligibility Criteria
The recipient must:
- Identify as an Indigenous Person (Indigenous, First Nations, Inuit, Metis, Status, Non-Status).
- Demonstrate perseverance and resiliency in their respective program.
- Be a graduate of their respective program (certificate, diploma, degree, etc.) at an Indigenous Institute.
- Not have previously received this award.
