Supporting the Advancement of Indigenous Postsecondary Education
IAESC supports the strengthening of Indigenous postsecondary education by setting culturally grounded standards that ensure programs meet both Indigenous and academic benchmarks that are recognized across institutions, this means students can carry their credits forward to other postsecondary institutions, as they continue their learning journey.
Learner well-being is a key component of the standards and benchmarks used to assess applications – this helps to ensure that students have a sense of belonging, purpose, and meaning when studying at an Indigenous Institute. Each of the Indigenous Institutes strives to ensure that students are supported through a wrap around care approach that considers their well-being from an emotional, physical, spiritual and emotional perspective.
As such, IAESC strives to offer the following supports and services to Indigenous Institutes.
