Indigenous Leadership
As an Indigenous-led and governed Organization, we strive to ensure that those leading the strategic direction of the Organization, and the individuals who support our quality assurance approvals, bring a wealth of knowledge, gifts, and experience. From knowledge keepers to language speakers, working or retired professionals, each individual on IAESC’s Board of Directors and the Indigenous Institutes Quality Assessment Board (IIQAB) have a desire to support the advancement of Indigenous post-secondary education.
Board of Directors
The IAESC Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring that the vision and mission of the Organization is achieved in addition to the oversight of the strategic plan and direction of the Organization.
Each Director brings their own unique bundle of knowledge, gifts and lived experiences. Each of IAESC’s Board members are Indigenous professionals, with a diverse range of background and education, from knowledge keepers to academics to community leaders. The Board consists of a maximum of 9 Directors and Directors are eligible to be re-appointed annually.
