Indigenous Leadership

As an Indigenous-led and governed Organization, IAESC strives to ensure that those who lead and govern IAESC’s strategic priorities and quality assurance approvals, bring a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to the success and well-being of Indigenous learners. From knowledge keepers to language speakers, working or retired professionals, each individual on IAESC’s Board of Directors and the Indigenous Institutes Quality Assessment Board carry with them a passion for the advancement of Indigenous post-secondary education.

Board of Directors

The IAESC Board of Directors is committed to advancing Indigenous post-secondary education and provides strategic direction to IAESC.
Each member of the Board of Directors brings their own unique bundle of knowledge, gifts and lived experiences. Each of IAESC’s Board members are Indigenous professionals, with a diverse range of background and education, from knowledge keepers to academics to community leaders. The Board consists of a maximum of 9 Directors and Directors are re-appointed annually.
