The IAESC Community
IAESC recognizes the importance of relational connection to our partners and the Indigenous Institutes. We practice upholding the principles of mino goondawin (good relationships) and use this to guide the work that we do on behalf of Indigenous Institutes and Indigenous communities.
First Nation Control of First Nation Education
Nine Indigenous Institutes serve more than 133 communities across the province, providing access to post-secondary education to Indigenous peoples in culturally-enriched learning environments.
The Institutes collectively offer over 70 programs at the certificate, diploma, advanced diploma post-graduate-certificate, degree, and graduate degree level in addition to skilled trades, micro-credentials and educational programing.
These programs are created and delivered in response to community employment, education and training needs. IAESC also works in partnership with other Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations and government agencies to support its mandate.
